hansel is an award winning womenswear fashion label based in Singapore. The label is stocked in Singapore and Japan. We are seeking a committed Production Merchandiser to join our young team and achieve our growth objectives. This is a permanent full-time position.

As a Full Time Production Merchandiser, this position requires working very closely with the Designer.
Duties include and are not limited to:

Merchandising, sampling and production.

• To prepare clear and well proportioned technical drawings.
• To prepare complete and detailed tech packs.
• To work closely with pattern drafter and check paper patterns for accuracy where necessary.
• To sew rough toiles where necessary.
• To assist in the sourcing of materials and trimmings.
• To clearly communicate sample comments and production orders to vendors.
• To negotiate with vendors on issues such as prices, delivery times and quality.
• To constantly check on the status of sampling and production throughout the process and ensure that goods are delivered on time.
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of the product quality and finishing standards required by different fashion market levels.
• To track all expenses pertaining to sampling and production.
• To provide costings for each SKU per collection.
• To lead, guide and delegate merchandising tasks to interns.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Merchandising with a strong understanding of pattern drafting and sewing.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in the fashion design industry.
• This is a demanding role within a small team. Candidate must be able to work fast, in an intense working pace under high pressure. Candidate must be confident, highly self-motivated and flexible, be able to work independently and multi-task. The ability to prioritize tasks and have great planning and organizational skills is crucial.
• Candidate must be highly meticulous and careful in his/her work.
• Candidate must be highly resourceful, great at thinking laterally and be able to solve problems creatively under pressure.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is a must. Ability to speak Mandarin is a must.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop.
• This position requires some overseas travel.
• This position is based in Paya Lebar, near the Paya Lebar MRT station.
