Milestones

1956

There were evidence of textile and apparel companies getting together to discuss business through regular meetings.

1964

Yarn companies, knitting companies and overseas investment garment factories form as Singapore Cotton Association.

1972

Rename as Singapore Textile Association.

1966

Local garment manufacturers set up Singapore Garment Association.

1981

Singapore Garment Association and Singapore Textile Manufacturer Association merged as Singapore Textile and Garment Manufacturers Association (STGMA).

1996

Singapore Textile and Garment Manufacturers Association (STGMA) merged with Society of Designing Arts Fashion (SODA) and become today’s Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore (TaF.f).
