PARCO next NEXT

PARCO next NEXT, the fashion design incubator project, is a joint initiative between Parco (Singapore) Pte Ltd and the Textile & Fashion Federation (Singapore) (TaFf), with the support from the government agency SPRING Singapore. Launched on 31 March 2010, PARCO next NEXT is currently housed within PARCO Marina Bay Level 2 at Millenia Walk.

PARCO next NEXT is the 1st one-of-a-kind incubator zone showcasing over 20 Singapore's NEXT New Generation of Fashion Designers. Specially curated by industry players, these new to market, young and exciting designers labels brings you a diverse mix of fashion concepts, from avant-garde to high street chic and not the run of the mill labels one finds everywhere.

These selected budding designers occupy a total gross area of approximately 6,000 sq ft, segmented into 2 different types of retail space – an open concept area and stand-alone shop units. The aim of the project is to help aspiring fashion designers turn their innovative ideas and concepts into successful and competitive businesses. This is done through providing them with a start-up platform within a well-planned environment, where they can learn business essentials and processes specific to the industry. The designers undergo a structured training and mentorship programme over 18 months, including a 12-month business and retail component.

This extensive creative and business mentoring programme has helped a select group of young designers to think local but act global. They have honed their design and business skills and are well on their way to become successful in their own right. Their collections are being sold at various boutiques in Singapore, while some have won regional design and fashion awards and others are starting to have a thriving export business. We look forward to their influences in the fashion landscape.
