Projects
The Productivity and Design Development Centre (PDDC) has been created under the initiative of TaF.f, with the help of the Singapore government. Its aim is to promote the use of virtual fit technology in product design and development and provide design consultancy services. Its components are the Textile and Fashion Design Centre (TaF.dc) and Virtual Garment Centre (V.Gc), both under the Textile and Fashion Training Centre (TaF.tc).
TaF.dc’s main purpose is to bring product development and design services with the assistance of CAD to the local/regional players who need to heighten their product development and design capabilities in order to service their buyers more effectively.
V.Gc is a one-stop virtual centre that promotes and encourages mass adoption of 3D technology in product development for the apparel industry which will result in lead-time reduction through process re-engineering in product development workflow.
