LEAD
The Local Enterprise and Association Development Programme (LEAD) is a multi-agency effort by the government to enhance industry and enterprise competitiveness. It aims to achieve this through partnerships with industry associates which are willing to take the lead in industry development and drive initiatives to improve the overall capabilities of local enterprises in their industries.
PDDC
Productivity Improvement and Design Development Consultancy Subsidy aims to encourage member companies of our industry to implement fundamental or radical changes in strategies, operations or practices, leading to significant gains in productivity and competitiveness for the industry as a whole.
Industry survey
The objective of this survey is to collect a set of representative data to demonstrate that despite the domestic export of our textile and apparel has been declining over the years, the contribution of the industry to the economy remains optimistic due to the amount of business done through Singapore by the offshore factories that are owned by Singapore companies. The data would also demonstrate the multiplier impact of the industry to other supporting industry such as banking and logistics.
Industry branding
Assist our members to become international class apparel providers and build Singapore's own international brands. Promote Singapore as an international Fashion Business and Hub for Textile and Apparel.
Singapore Fashion Fund
Singapore Fashion Fund - An initiative of Textile & Fashion Federation of Singapore (TaFf) to help build the next generation of fashion talents, by nurturing and grooming young residents who have the creativity, drive and passion, to propel Singapore towards becoming a leading centre of excellence in fashion design in Asia as well as for its supporting industries. For every drink purchased, part of it goes to the Fashion Fund that nurtures & groom the next generation of Fashion Designers. Singapore Fashion Rules!
Textile & Fashion Federation of Singapore ( TaFf) launches “ SINGAPORE FASHION RULES!” - a branding campaign for the Singapore Fashion designers & Labels during the annual Singapore Fashion Festival. Through this campaign TaFf wished to showcase the local creative talents and help them gain recognition both locally and internationally. Purpose of the campaign is also to remind the consumers out there that Singapore Fashion designers have what it takes to compete with foreign brands.
Singapore Fashion Week (SFW)
The annual Singapore Fashion Week kicks-off in mid October every year. This event will showcase a series of comprehensive fashion-related trade exhibitions and trade shows featuring the latest designers' collections, brands/ labels from both locally and regionally. The main program of SFW includes, The Designers Show (TDS), Singapore/ Asian Young Fashion Designer Contest and Gala Dinner. For more on SFW, check out www.singaporefashionweek.com.sg
Access USA
ACCESS USA started in 2005 as part of TaFf's ongoing efforts to help designers to open up into the USA market. The program aims to assist local designers to strategically launch and expand their business in the USA.
The ACCESS USA is a 24 months Program developed by TaFf aimed at providing support and assistance to selected designers from Singapore Fashion Week and to promote their labels into the USA market. With the Program, an appointed US consultant would be tasked to assist selected designers to prepare their collections and marketing promotional materials as well as to review and recommend suitable showrooms for the selected designers.
